Mr John Mullen was appointed Chief Executive Officer by the Board of Directors of Asciano Limited on 14 February 2011 and as Managing Director on 1 April 2011.
John was the Global CEO of DHL Express from 2006 to 2009 and Joint CEO in 2005. Prior to this, he was CEO of DHL Express Asia Pacific and held senior positions with the TNT Group for 10 years.
John is a non-executive director of Telstra Corporation Limited (“Telstra”) and prior to joining Asciano was also a non-executive director of Brambles Limited and MAp Airports Limited.
Previously, John held various general management positions in TNT Limited, Compagnie Internationale de Restauration (CIR) and NACAP BV, Delft, Holland.
John holds a Bachelor of Science from The University of Surrey, UK.

Ms Alexandra Badenoch joined Asciano in May 2011 and is responsible for driving the HR strategy across the organisation with a particular focus on recruitment, remuneration, performance management, leadership development and cultural development programs.
With more than 15 years experience in senior international and domestic Human Resources roles, Alexandra has held roles at Telstra, where she was responsible for a direct workforce of approximately 43,000 Telstra operates throughout Australia, as well as Asia, the US and Europe. Most recently she held the position of Executive Director Organisational Development and Talent, where she was responsible for recruitment, performance and talent management, leadership development and training, as well as diversity, culture and organisational development for all of Telstra’s business units.
Alexandra's extensive career also includes time as HR Director, Asia Pacific for Novell Inc, and General Manager Organisational Effectiveness for Coles Myer, where she was responsible for more than 175,000 employees across 12 businesses.
Ms Gillian Burrows is responsible for driving Asciano’s Corporate Affairs and Communications strategy across the organisation with a particular focus on the company’s extensive range of external stakeholders incorporating external affairs, government relations, corporate positioning, crisis management and sustainability. Gillian also has a key focus on internal communications for Asciano’s 7,500 strong workforce.
With more than 20 years experience in both Australian and international corporate affairs and communications roles, Gillian has a strong track record in reputation strategy, internal communications, community relations, CSR, sustainability, government relations, media relations and crisis management.
Prior to joining Asciano, Gillian held roles with Eskom, Vodafone Pacific, Savage Communication, Westbus, Westlink 7 and Weber Shandwick and most recently she held the position of Group General Manager of Corporate Affairs for John Holland.

Mr. Saul Cannon joined Asciano in July 2007 as Group General Counsel.
Prior to joining Asciano, Saul held the position of General Counsel - Mergers & Acquisitions and Telstra Asia at Telstra Corporation Limited. During his nine years at Telstra, Saul also worked in a number of different business areas, including three years as General Counsel and Company Secretary of TelstraClear Limited, Telstra’s New Zealand business.
Prior to joining Telstra, Saul worked for the Australian law firm Mallesons Stephen Jaques.
Saul holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Bachelor of Laws (Honours) from the University of Melbourne.

Mr. David Irwin was appointed as Director Pacific National Coal in April 2008 and is responsible for driving strategy, development, operations and profitability across NSW, QLD & SA.
David has more than 20 years experience working in the Australian coal industry - primarily in management, commercial, financial, procurement, logistics, leadership and operational roles. This is includes significant experience working in mine, export port, construction and rail haulage operations.
David joined Pacific National in 2003 with management accountabilities for the commercial, logistics and customer aspects of the Coal business. Prior to this, David played a key role in the establishment of the Hunter Valley Coal Chain Logistics Team while working in the role of Manager Planning at Port Waratah Coal Services (PWCS) as the last phase of a 13 year career with Rio Tinto.
David continues his involvement as a sponsor of the co-ordination of coal chain capacity planning as a Director of Hunter Valley Coal Chain Co-Ordinator Ltd (HVCCC) and a Director of Integrated Logistics Company Pty Ltd (ILC).

Mr Chris Keast is the Director of Pacific National Rail, where he is responsible for driving the overall performance of Intermodal and Bulk Rail freight businesses.
Chris has more than 30 years experience in the industrial sector and joined Asciano in 2009 as the Divisional General Manager Intermodal.
Prior to joining Asciano, Chris held the position of Executive General Manager – Rod, Bar and Wire at OneSteel, as well as a number of senior roles at BHP in Steel and Transport over a 20 year period.

Ms Fiona Mead was appointed Company Secretary of Asciano Limited on 29 March 2007. Fiona holds a Bachelor of Economics and a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries.
Prior to joining Asciano, Fiona was Assistant Company Secretary at Telstra for five years, a role that included being Company Secretary of eight active subsidiaries, over 180 other subsidiaries and three joint ventures, as well as acting as Company Secretary of Telstra on a number of occasions. Prior to Fiona’s role as Assistant Company Secretary, Fiona was Telstra’s Networks Counsel, a role that required advising on all aspects of construction and management of telecommunications infrastructure.
Fiona was a senior associate at a major Melbourne law firm prior to joining Telstra. Fiona is a member of the Victorian State Council for Corporate Secretaries Australia and sits on the Finance Committee at St Michael’s Grammar School.

Mr Angus McKay joined Asciano as Chief Financial Officer in December 2010 and brings more than 23 years experience in finance to the role.
Prior to this, Angus held the role of Chief Financial Officer at Foster’s Group Limited since 2008. Angus was with the Foster’s Group Limited for over six years where he held various senior finance positions in Australia. Prior to joining Foster’s Group Limited, Angus was the Chief Financial Officer for New Zealand Milk Products and before that held a range of senior finance positions within Diageo plc.
