Asciano employs approximately 7,500 staff nationally across its three divisions - Pacific National Coal, Pacific National Rail and Patrick:
  • Pacific National Coal is one of two national coal haulage operators, offering rail haulage services for the export and domestic coal markets in New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia;
  • Pacific National Rail is Australia's largest Intermodal rail provider and a major provider of bulk rail services, transporting containerised, steel, general freight, bulk freight including grain, magnetite and aggregates; and
  • Patrick is Australia’s leading provider of port related services to importers, exporters and shipping lines, accounting for approximately half of Australia’s containerised stevedoring, as well as bulk, auto and general stevedoring.
